A luxurious 15th century Renaissance pink villa in the countryside of Florence, white ranunculales flowers, a softly lit frescoed terrace, and dancing the night away in the villa’s wine cellar. William and Kate Say I Do!

We spent today loving every minute of the Royal Wedding, especially when Kate stepped out of the car and we were able to get a full view of her stunning dress designed by Sarah Burton. Classic, timeless, romantic and those pretty lace sleeves, a perfect choice for a Princess. Brava Kate! Prince William didn’t look too bad either, rather handsome actually in his military uniform. Hope you all had a wonderful Easter!We’ve all enjoyed gigantic Easter feasts and finished the day eating the traditional Easter cake Colomba.We thought we would share a fantastic recipe we found on one of our favorite Italian food blogs, Dulcis in Furno, which offers a bit of a twist on the traditional Easter cake. J. Crew Goes To Italy

The J. Crew design team recently came to Italy in search of the finest shoes, fabrics and prints. Of course the best shoes are found in our hometown, Florence! It was such a delight to see behind the scenes with shots of our beautiful city and the stories of the fantastic companies they are working with in and around Florence. Most of these companies have been around for centuries and the lovely thing is that they are still run by the great great grandkids of the people that started them. Fabulous stuff!
