Jane and Jason

Latvia, Australia, Italy, Dubai!.. A wonderful melting pot in the name of love

Jane and Jason, a marvelous couple living in Dubai, chose Florence to tie the knot and celebrate in grand style.

Jane was born in Latvia, while Jason was born in Australia. Was it Jason’s Italian origins that drove their choice? Whatever inspired them, their choice proved to be the right one!

Family and friends from all corners of the world gathered on the summer equinox day in an outstanding Villa tucked on the hills overlooking Florence.

On the wake of the Medici’s, the lords that ruled the city of Florence for centuries, they picked a Villa always blessed by a cooling breeze to celebrated their wedding day on a hot summer day. Yes, because this location “Villa Le Fontanelle” used to be owned by the Medici family, who spent here the “dog days” of summer.

Recent renovations brought back this Villa to its ancient magical splendor. Wedding planner and decor stylist Chiara Sernesi (Weddings in Tuscany by Chiara Sernesi) made the rest to turn this wonderful mansion into a fairytale venue.

The garden area where the wedding ceremony was held offered a special background: all of Florence monuments!  It goes without saying that excessive decorations were not needed. Chiara suggested an elegant and stylish arch decorated with pale pink and creamy flowers, a white carpet and country style chairs arranged in a semicircle for the setting.

Jason was impeccable in his tuxedo waiting for his princess at the altar. Jane walked gracefully and princely from the inside the Villa toward the garden holding the arm of her father, who was visibly moved.

Her smile and beautiful blue eyes were an outstanding vision for Jason when her father lifted the veil…

The exchange of wedding vows was the most touching moment of the ceremony. Their words were a true testimony to a promise of eternal love!

Cocktails served in the lower garden of the Villa offered relaxation and refreshment to all guests, while Jane and Jason had a photo tour around the many charming corners of the Villa park (Kylee Yee Photographer).

Cocktails did not even miss a fun note: guest star of the cocktail hour was Bucefalo, a cute donkey decorated with daisies, who was a real attraction for fun pictures.

Right before dinner, the Maid of Honor announced the newlyweds, who made their entrance to the dinner area passing between two aisles of guests in a jubilee of rose petals.

The dinner imperial table was set up on the main outdoor terrace right beneath a pergola decorated with tiny little lights that recreated a lower version of the sky. Yes, because far above, a thousand of stars seemed to wink at this beautiful young couple, surrounded by family and friends. Jane, in her majestic wedding gown, seated at the table with the elegance and approach of an empress, enjoying the conversation of her parents and the sweet notes of background music.

Hours passed smoothly in a relaxed atmosphere of happiness and joy. All guests were enthusiast of the location and of the view, not to speak of food (Galateo Ricevimenti catering).

The preparation of the wedding cake a cooking demo, or better a real pastry masterclass bewitched everybody. After the traditional cutting of the cake and toasting,  the wedding party moved indoors for dancing.

And, here, Jane and Jason literally created an awe-inspiring atmosphere with a First Dance that can only be found in fairytales.
